The benefit of the cheap Chinese made stuff is, well it’s cheap. Most metal will rust eventually to some degree.

Trying to find a super high quality product that will last a long time before rusting very well might cost more than multiple cheap solutions.

If you choose something off Amazon that seems half decent and keep it salt free, might be surprised how long it lasts.

The answer is no running boards are worth your time and money. Rock sliders is the way to go. Any ferrous based metal will rust if exposed to oxygen. There’s a couple of fabricators and brands to go to. Cheers!

Gee, I wonder who makes one of those products :p

Since he cannot say it, by most account @Ricardo13x does great work, if sliders are a route OP opts for.

Won’t spam this thread too hard, but it speaks to your character that you didn’t come in and push your product.

    Many have and would.

To keep it simple, I would go with rock sliders that are flat. You have the option of just having just the "tubes", but you can get fill plates that make it a step.

Then you can either use spray paint or bed liner (DIY) or you can pay to have them powder coated (smooth) or Line-X (rubberized).

My suggestion is powder coated. If it ever shows a chip or something, hit it with spray paint. Depending where you live, it's likely to outlast your vehicle.

Too bad, you’re not closer, I took my runningboards off and they’re going to get tossed in the trash soon.
