Looking for a steel skid that is most handy for quick oil changes. Either easiest to take off altogether or one that can comfortably stay on and not get oil on pan

I have 3/16" steel. Don't have a Fumoto valve. Usually either vacuum oil out the top or remove the skid with 5 bolts.
It doesn't have a hole for drain plug access.

Best with oil changes or best with off-road protection?

uh well, mine protects off road
then I take my hand to grab and turn a ratchet with a socket on it for 5 bolts to remove it
so I'd say that's probably the best.

    Thanks TacoTuesday,
Which skid plate do you use?

Picked up an OE TRD skid plate recently (more here). Not saying it's the best option, but I like it for all of the reasons you've asked about.

Unless you know your going to be slamming the truck off rocks regularly I don't think the pros of steel outweigh negetives. This is where aluminum comes in, much lighter no real upkeep in rust prevention but still lots of protection for that occasional oops.

So I think the lacking information here is the intended use of the truck.

Oh I’ll be hitting stumps and rocks for sure. I’m just looking for steel that is most easiest for oil changes. Either taking it off or keeping it on and using the holes.
