Usually there's an adjustment that can be made on the shifter linkage or the hydraulic fluid in the system (brake fluid) needs to be changed or bleed. Most likely an adjustment with the linkage in this instance.

And I thought my 8500 mile '20 was low miles. Maybe it has something to do with steel wheels and manual transmission?

    That's it!

Since the CDT tweeters are standard 4 ohm, I'd think the DS18s (also 4 ohm) should work fine with a JBL system. Couldn't hurt to try and they could always be returned I guess.

    Lots baby!
When you add the short shifter your loosing leverage to get the shorter throws, so it takes more manly biceps. Reverse is particular difficult.

This is my fix. It sounds silly, but once you get down the rhythm it goes pretty smoothly.

You slap that bitch into reverse.

Currently you are just grabbing the shift ball and trying to muscle it into place. Next time, slap it into reverse. This way you get the momentum of the slap. It will just drop into reverse. It takes a few days for it be natural motion.

My wife had no problem learning the procedure.

i appreciate the help! I just came back from resolving the issue. I had accidentally left out a black ring (rubber and gasket-like) that layers underneath the blue ring near the middle section of the shaft. Now it’s not nearly impossible to put into reverse.

I did the last thing I could do to prepare for 35's. Trimmed my front fenders and installed the C4 fender liners. Took about 5 hours in the Phoenix morning heat. Anyone in Phx have some 35's I could borrow for a day? I need to see if my truck will still fit in my garage with them on, ha.

Ok, I’m confused. We’re talking about the transmission here, right?

[IMG] Got the TRD Skid plate installed and it was a fun install and love the look and the Extra protection. Very easy install with a floor Jack and used a torque wrench to get everything to spec.
    Just a quick picture
