    $7.78 a gallon for 87 here, close to $10 for 92 octane. Beats the $9.22 for 87 octane in October. Gonna stick with 87. Or my bicycle.

    i keep getting water-contaminated fuel around here. I've gotten bad fuel from more than half the gas stations in my area at some point. it's ridiculous. Maybe it has something to do with the high humidity levels or just poor QC

    As a former assistant manager at a very busy gas station, a tank reading should be done almost every day. When this is done, a paste is applied to the dipstick to ascertain if there is water in the bottom of the storage tank, as the gasoline will float on any water. I suppose the ethanol in the fuel could absorb some of the water, but that would be minimal. I'm curious, what makes you certain it is water contamination?
