Thanks for admitting this old guy so he can hopefully learn something from this great assortment of knowledge!

Ouestion: 2nd gen, V6 correct spark plugs. What is the correct and best plug? How often should they be changed? The book does not tell you, and this subject came up in conversation recently. I have never changed my plugs and some say I'm way behind. What about transmission service alot of different ideas there too.

Help me out folks! Thanks Walt

Thanks for the tips on these burning questions guys. I have always used this truck lightly because I want it to be my last truck. Why? Well, I don't need all of the newer whistles and bells, doo-dads, more cup holders, etc. My family laughs at me because I don't care to move into a newer model with an information system like the space shuttle and drive with more traffic than ever on the highways. The best truck or vehicle ever for me just crossed 100,000 Everything is factory except change oil every 5000 miles.

When the OEM doesn't list maintenance intervals in the owner's manual makes you wonder? Now what is the reasoning the OEM would not install a dipstick on the transmission anymore? Makes you wonder where they are on preventative maintenance. Thanks

Will work on uploading a picture.

Thanks Bill for posting that link. Looking at it I realize I'm a bit behind on my maintenance.
