Howdy ya'll... 2005 Taco. Had it forever and then some. 200k. Compressor clutch went out the other week. I replaced it, and it's working splendidly after adding a bit of refrigerant.

My question is this: should I pay to either buy the manifold/vacuum system (or pay a pro) or just be happy with it as-is (it's working)?

    Considerations:
    • The first problem I encountered was a refrigerant leak. Turned out to be the schrader valve on the inake. Replacing that obviously bled the system.
    • When I added in more refrigerant later, it worked for a while, then the clutch went out.
    • When I replaced the clutch, I had to add a smidge more to get the clutch to not detect 'low pressure'.

Long story short, I don't know if I have the right volume in it. What's your opinion?

Pictures for giggles (old clutch assembly).
