Hello, does anyone have a recommendation for a high quality drop-in plastic bedliner for my 2004 Tacoma Extra Cab (1st Gen)? I know that spray-in liners are better and my truck actually already has a Line-X spray in the bed, however, I transport a lot of fine furniture and the Line-X's texture is like rough sandpaper and can damage the wood. I want to drop in a smoother, plastic bedliner over the line-x, and I want to find one that will fit well and not make noise at highway speeds. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!

did you read the OPs post

OP, i just had a Line-X done to replace plastic liner, I am hanging onto the plastic in the event I need to do something similar to you, etc.

I am not sure what is out there, perhaps a salvage yard if you don't want something new but ok with used and possibly abused?
high quality is necessity probably for the furniture

perhaps a bedmat would work :notsure:

Why don't you just wrap your items with a moving blanket? They're a lot easier to store when you don't need them.

I am a drop-in bedliner advocate. OEM ones are common and plentiful, those are easy to find on Craigslist and arguably the best quality.

I got my truck linexed, and then put in a rubber bed mat for further
protection when hauling stuff... the rubber bed mat didn't protect
the sides or ends, though... so I put my drop-in liner back in...

The linex protects against rust (I hope)...

The drop in liner pretects against dents (I'm sure)...

When your objective is protecting your stuff rather than your
truck, the rubber bed mat seems like a good solution.

I have a good mostly new rubber bed mat in the shed
here in upstate SC :) ...

The moving blankets don't slide on the LineX.

My wife refinishes furniture, I transport it, and I have a drop in bedliner. If it didn't come with the truck, I would get one that fits under the bed rails, and not over them. Leaving the bed rails exposed makes it easier to put a tonneau cover on the bed, and to add LED lights under the rails.

There is a reason they are plentiful and easy to find.

No one wants to keep them...

They absolutely suck if you carry motorcycles. It didn't matter how tight my straps were, the plastic was so slippery the wheel would always move around.

    OP, go the plywood/carpet route.

Hello, would anyone in the nebraska area happen to have one of these for a 01 double cab with a 5 ft bed?
