Installing a pair of Miata NA buckets in my bench seat 1999 2wd reg cab Tacoma. Always liked those seats, easy to reupholster and have the bonus headrest speakers. They’re also pretty low-profile and comfortable.
I lucked into a pair of Corbeau bench-to-bucket rails, so my main issue is seatbelts.

The Miata seats don’t have built-in receivers (probably wouldn’t fit the Toyota belts if they did), and the bench seat receivers will flop around without the bench, not to mention the two-headed drivers/center passenger unit.

I’ve searched lots of seat swap threads and haven’t found an answer….it seems there’s a lot of variation in belt/receiver production.
    May I ask for suggestions?
Thanks for a great forum, by the way!

got the Miata seats mocked up on blocks and looking good, fitwise. Lots of room for height adjustment, and that seems to be a issue for seat swaps. The upholstery even matches pretty well…too bad the headrests have split. Easy enough to reupholster Miata seats in black.

The seat belt receivers have plastic sleeves, and, if I were to cut the center belt and buckle off, would certainly look better and likely remain more erect (ahem).

I’d prefer not to cut and lose the center belt if I were to replace the bench; maybe find another pair?
