I have a 2023 TRD Pro and the horn sounds each time I lock or unlock the doors. Does anyone know how to deactivate the horn so it doesn’t honk when I lock or unlock the doors?

You should be able to disable it in the head unit.

The actual horn or a “beep”?
Factory is a beep, and the settings are in head unit. If it’s the horn, it’s probably aftermarket alarm.

Welcome to the forum :hattip: and congratulations on the new truck.

The lock settings are in the head unit, look in your manual at section 5.2.

Mine (stock) is not the horn, but a mild 'beep'... I'm guessing they all are? Stock?
I'm not sure why you'd want to disable the beep/beep-beep sound, I think it's pretty useful .... Which is why it's been pretty standard equipment for 20+ years now.
I like to be able to walk away and hear 'OK, I know it's locked' or coming back with an armload of groceries and hear the double beep-beep and know the passenger door is open.

I thought there was a setting in the head unit for that.

As said earlier the stock door lock notification is a beep which has options on the head unit. If your truck is honking when you lock it there’s a modification somewhere. Aftermarket auto start or security system

Thanks everyone. I was able to deactivate the horn when I lock/unlock the doors. The setting was in the aftermarket alarm system that was installed in the truck (KARR Security System). I used the KARR app to deactivate the horn when I lock/unlock the doors. I appreciate everyone’s help.

I deactivated the horn because I want to be courteous and respectful to my neighbors and not disturb them when I leave early in the morning and return late at night.

Glad you have it figured out!
You’re right, the actual horn honking for every lock and unlock, is not courteous.

In respect to my condo neighbors, I too respectfully lowered the volume of my "beep". I leave early in the mornings every day. But my motorcycle exhaust isn't going anywhere!!!!! They should be up anyways! :)

I disabled mine 1st day. Not only not courteous but annoying. Can hear a click and door lights blink when I touch lock button. That's all I need not the robot beep.
