Seems we have a new veterinarian on the page.

Maybe he's an old dog who just wants a nap.

It cracks me up. We spend all this money on nice beds and a lot of the time, our dogs are rarely on them. Riley's ass was about the only thing on his. Kimo sleeps mostly on his but as the weather heats up, he's barely on it either.

 

Considering he gets bi monthly grooming visits and his nails trimmed, thanks for your advice. He’s also an 11 year old lab who has grown up with my 2 children and has lived a very active and full life. When I took this picture he had just came in from the backyard playing, it was hot and he was soaking up some AC, when I squatted down to take the picture he opened his eyes.

Yeah I’ve always had hunting labs. This lab turned into more of a companion for our family as he didn’t fit the role of a hunting dog although…he’s the best dog a man could want! He’s loyal, wants to be close to the family, protective of my wife and kids…he may not be doing the job we brought him to our family to do…he’s doing a way better job being what we all need from him. It’s amazing how these pups can change the lives of their humans!!!

 

Mine performs the most important function of all, he's my compact food laboratory technician and tests all foods! So far, so good!

 

I had a chocolate lab once,had to leave it behind with my mother. But she tells me that was the best dog she ever had as a companion .

 

I grew up with a black lab/Great Dane pup. One of the best bird dogs I ever had and she was a pound puppy. When I left for the Air Force my grandma took her. She had a great end of her life with grandma.

 

Oh yeah! That’s an important job…my pups work great as vacuum cleaners after the kids get done eating.
