I had the HG replaced and then followed by rebuilding the carb ... fired right up and runs GREAT - better than it has since I have had it. I keep expecting it to stall as I come to a stop (always did prior to the rebuild) and/or keep the RPMs running way too high.

it's been awhile but feels great to have this thing rolling again.

Bumper is coming along. I am creating one more safety bracket in case the swing out latch comes loose and I need to move my license plate ... and paint. Hopefully I get this buttoned up over the weekend.

Yeah they're capped. I laugh b/c I did everything BUT that > cleaned up mounds of metal dust > put everything up > sat down > admired my work and thought - "I really should cap those ends. then I can just paint ... but I only have 4" flat bar"

Take everything out > cut 4 x 1.75" squares > clean the squares > clean the ends to be capped > weld > clean up ... sit down.

Glad the common sense side of my brain won this debate. I could use a whiteboard in the garage to write down the steps and check off the list.

Happens to the best of us!

On a vehicle, definitely cutting some flat stock and welding it on.

For indoor stuff, I really like those plastic caps found on Amazon.

I think the weight in the back actually smooths out the ride ... the PO welded on some strange piece that hangs below the bumper. I'm good to go now but I'll cut that off and have loads of clearance back there.
