Forgot to share these, but here is the semi-cross country mega train. Someone was smart and gave me the Indiana themed box. Interesting that the uhaul trailers only strap down by the front wheels. So in addition to the oversized straps for the front ties, I also did additional strapping on the rear. If I had to do it all over again, I found that the uhaul trailers have D rings on the inside of the trailer frame rails. Utilizing those would allow it to be secured by the axles and control arms, which probably would have been better. The available securement locations are not explicitly stated anywhere, so hopefully passing these along is helpful to someone here in the future.

The uhaul got about 6.0 mpg overall in this setup. ~4-5 going up to Blackburg, ~6 through WVa and Ohio, and ~7 the rest of the way through Ohio into Indiana. There was one hill going out of Virginia that I was only able to do 35 in a 55, but other than that it was smooth sailing

That's a horrible idea. What time?
Glad you made it safety. And that you managed to stay out of PA. There would have been a lot more 35 mph hills and little more "I hope these brakes work."

This was my set up yesterday. Slightly better gas mileage.

It was not the Allison b500r with three stage hydraulic retarder that I would have liked, but I was actually surprised at how it was able to control some of the descents with a mix of downshifting in response to brake input.'

Your deck is coming along nicely, and the trex really looks good!

Scored a deal on some 17" Fifteen52 wheels with tires- The color is... interesting... I'll leave them alone for a couple weeks. Worst case is a can of spray paint can change things!

Matte Black on those! I am a little biased toward that color, but it would be a nice retro look.

Never had it. Three quarters of the beer in that picture was for a friend’s birthday. He loves that grapefruit stuff and only gets it every now and then. So, I surprise him with some now and again.
