OK, chasing down vibrations and in the process replacing every bushing and mount on my 04 Tacoma four-wheel-drive. I’m now at the rear leaf springs, and I’m going to use factory Toyota replacement bushings. My question, Toyota does not list a lower shackle bushing for the spring. Is it the same as the front bushing?

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
    Not at all completely different.

Good luck with this project. Most times you end up cutting the spring hanger bolt off it is seized to the metal sleeve . Then melting the bushing out with the torch.

Time for new springs by chance? Doing this job with the spring in the truck is very difficult.

    Best of Luck.

Well that sucks. Dumb that Toyota doesn’t make a bushing for the rear spring eye. Any idea how it’s different? The Energy Suspension kits look like they use the same bushing, maybe I’m wrong. Besides poly bushings, has anyone found a rubber bushing that will work? Oh, the springs will def be removed for the job.

Figure on new U-bolts as well just easier to cut them off and be done.

Tighten everything with the truck on the ground!

At one time Toyota Sold a Shackle Kit that came with all new parts I am sure that kit is long gone.

On the shackle you have 4 bushing if you crawl under the truck you can see what you have .

Gotta be some one out there making shackle kits I know I have seen kitsyou can grease.

Just where all have you looked so far? Search for 2004 Tacoma shackle kits or shackle bushings. Lots ofoptions.

You just need to use the proper terms.
