    Howdy, everyone!

It may have been poor etiquette on my part to high-jack someone else's thread to introduce myself. So, I figured I should properly post my own.

I picked-up my SR5 last week, Tuesday. It was a replacement for a 2017 SR5 which had sprung it's second engine leak in two years. I was told by the service manager that having two leaks so soon was very unusual, even at 135K miles.

So, considering the cost to repair the leak and the additional upcoming maintenance, as well as the concern for yet another leak, it made marginally more sense to turn it in. I was torqued about the leaks, and considered both the Frontier and Colorado. But, in the end I enjoyed my old Tacoma and decided to give it another try. I just pray that I will not be saying: "... second time, shame on me" in another 6-7 years ...

Here she is after picking her up:

Here she is after I installed the Lomax tonneau cover today.

The cover that came on my 2017 was bulkier and was really beginning to fade. The new one lies flush; hopefully, it will not fade a quickly as its predecessor.

It was a straight forward installation. The only issue is that the tailgate pushes and crumples the weather stripping forward when I close the door. Hopefully, as it settles in the stripping will adhere better. If not, then I hope someone here will have a suggestion.

I have to give a shout-out to Luke at Truckalterations.com for giving me a very reasonable price on it and for his speedy service. I bought it last Thursday, and it arrived 2 business days later. Nice.

Now I have to see what other things to do ...

Congrats on the new beauty and fingers crossed that it ends up being bullet proof!

There are many who say the 2016-2018’s were still having some kinks worked out…

    Thanks, everyone.

@FourPeaks, I guess the silicone sealant they used at the plant for my truck was from a bad lot; praying that it's been long used up.
