The SR5 harness is different than the TRD. Send a PM to @daveeasa or possibly @Puppypunter. I'm not sure who's still making them for Sr5 trims or if that project was abandoned. Most have bought their led headlights online from parts.toyota.com and searched prices by dealer. Around $1200-$1500 for the pair I think.

edit: I think @Puppypunter is your source for the sr5 harness now?

Yes, I’ve abandoned SR5 harnesses but Johnny will still make and sell them for now.

Also, OP, I believe this is probably from the lawyers for the most part. DRL meaning “running” lights for the daytime. When the truck is started but the parking brake is on, that’s not running. They are meant to be a visual indication that the vehicle is about to move or is already moving so you can get out of the way. In case you are deaf or visibility is limited.

on my ‘16 MT they fire up as soon as the parking brake is released. Note, however, a ~1s delay from the time the DRL signal is active until the C is illuminated which is purely on the headlight logic board for OEM LED since turn uses the same C and overrides DRL. I’d imagine the auto headlight circuitry needs some time to decide what mode to put the truck in so that’s more logic on top of logic.

TLDR, your truck is operating as designed. Though next time I’d recommend 3 pedals :)

If I were actually smart, I'd have moved back to Oahu where all my smart friends have found successful careers. So, not really Akamai over here but hoping, maybe, someday, retirement? Super good plan, right, retire where cost of living is the highest? At least the good things in life are sunshine and ocean breezes, free of charge.

You're akamai enough to make an ingenious harness for us lol. Yeah I cherish everyday living in Hawaii but lot of locals are being priced out of paradise.
