Hello, I noticed a rattling around centerline under my truck when accelerating. I looked under to see if something was loose or maybe I could see something but all I found was this under my transmission and I’m not sure if this is normal for it to be crooked. Any help as to what this is?D18BC2CA-0801-4A2E-B1E4-615425FD1105.jpg BABB8285-BDB8-4E65-9A37-CA0845ADCCC0.jpgD18BC2CA-0801-4A2E-B1E4-615425FD1105.jpg

Ehh you need a new transmission mount, that big bolt thats all beat up is the fail safe, the rubber portions of the mount have become delaminated, if you put your hands on the tail of the trans you could probably push it up right off the mount and clearly see the problem. They are not that expensive fix it right away.

Okay I see now, do you think this could be the source of my rattling when I accelerate? It goes away when I let off the gas in gear and when I get out of gear in Neutral. I revved the engine in neutral and I don’t hear anything so I think it’s related to the transmission or maybe differential but I’m not sure. I was hoping it was just a loose bolt and a washer vibrating but I haven’t found that yet haha.

Timmy the Toolman did a real nice video on this job:

You can probably knock it out in about 15-20 min, easy peasy.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
The time it takes to change depends on how many bolts break and where.

The longest it took me was two weeks even more bolts broke removing the transfer case to drill out the first 2 broken bolts.
