Forgive the lengthy post but completely stoked in so many ways.

In 1988 my Dad bought a gray single cab 1987 Toyota 4x4 pickup(22R). My brother and I rode home in the bed of the truck on the interstate. Dad previously had a Dodge Red Express truck which didn't do so well when we went to our land in the mountains - RWD and a little bulky on the tight 'road' in. He was a car nut and we didn't discriminate - growing up we had a '68 Mustang, '62 Triumph TR4, and a '82 CJ7. When he got the Toyota, however, it was the truck he'd always wanted and he never looked back. He drove it til he passed in the mid 2000s. My Mom gave it to me and I drove it, and cared for it, until May of this year. I gave it to my brother as it was now his time to enjoy it. Also, I now have a couple of little guys and we haven't been able to get out to the property since I can't just throw them in the bed of the truck like me n my bro back in the day.

Went through a bit of a journey to find one, but tomorrow (I hope) my new gray Toyota pickup gets shipped to me. This dinosaur had no idea how hard it would be to find a MT. So glad the timing worked out to pick up a N/A MT before they go extinct as well.

I hope this pickup gives my little guys the same great memories and experience that my bro and I have had with the '87.

    Cheers!

Welcome. So many of us can relate to our experiences to Toyota Trucks in the past. Mine was my 1992 I purchased new and owned for 14 years.

Building the same memories with my family. Our 2020 gets us to our property and all the related exploring.
