I couldn't tell if he was unhinged, unintelligent, or both. I'm really not sure what happened between him and the LEOs, but shooting a shotgun across a street ~100 ft from a house with a family with two young kids. Guys like that definitely can't be trusted to own a firearm.

 

Shooting across a street. One charge.
Shooting within 500' of a dwelling. One charge.
Killing game out of season. One charge.

If he doesn't have a LTC or FID, that's at least two charges. One for unlicensed possession of a rifle or shotgun. One for unlicensed possession of ammunition.

If he did have a LTC or FID, that's probably been revoked and all of his firearms and ammunition seized by the police.

He's very likely in a world of shit.

Reminds me of a guy I knew, his buddy told him about a couple deer right behind his house. He went and got his license. Then went out into the woods and bagged one.

A then B, BUT, of course he got some questions because there was some huge concern over the order of events. And by some I mean a LOT. It was just one F&G officer but he was there a while.

 

That always gets the game wardens attention.

edit: I'm not against hunting. I just think having shit laying around to attract animals and killing them because you're a slob and leave garbage is really, really unethical.

 

Yup, same here.

My neighbor who lives a little closer to him saw more than I did while the cops were there. He said the chief did load a bunch of bags into his cruiser from the guy's house. So, it seems they did seize his guns and ammo.

Apparently the guy's wife was doing a lot of yelling while they were outside with the police chief too - he said it got real quiet when the EPO showed up though.

People have land behind me where I think they do target practice some weekends. I couldn't care less and would never say a word about it since it isn't a problem. This guy's a different deal, though - firing off a shotgun next to a road in a neighborhood...that's a special kind of stupid.
