Was driving down the road, minding my own business and wham the front spring dropped like it was at least warm. 2009 Tacoma 4WD access cab Off Road TRD with stock suspension. Hoping for a simple path to get back on the road. Anyone have any experience with suspension lifts? Alternate suggestions appreciated, these are pricy but claim to be OE and "should" fit.

    The spring perch gave out.
You could go with a set of 5100 shocks and use your springs?
But I’d take a good look at the springs first.

I’m curious as to what your frame looks like?
    Have you inspected it recently?

The more I look at the pictures.
The more I’m inclined to suggest a whole coil over set up.

Good question on the frame, I'll take a close look when I get a minute. Thinking about just picking up ready struts, original springs have some rust for sure.

Find some 3rd gen TRD off road tacoma stock takes offs. You can find em for under 200 bucks for the whole assemblies with minimal (under 5k) miles on em. Swap and drive.

But also... give the whole truck a once over cus rust caused your issue here... and if rust is bad there to cause failure i cant imagine what other parts of the truck are like.

Thanks for the comments, I'll look the frame over, post up some photos if you would be willing to take a look. You're right about needing to look deeper. I had the frame inspected by Toyota a few years back and they sealed the frame which I wasn't thrilled about. Just looked on my Toyota account and can't find any record of the frame inspection/coating...

How did the install go? Truck is access cab, 4wd off-road TRD model. I'll be doing the rears before long.
