Added Tough Country neoprene seat covers front and rear. Nothing fancy but they’ll do as we often jump in and out with wet waders when fly fishing rivers and move to a new spot.
This video was helpful but doesn’t show what actually happens under the front seats.
    https://youtu.be/nI6-UPzuoxE

Navigating the straps around the mechanisms and cables under the front seats was time consuming. I can see why others removed the seats to install the covers. I wanted to make sure that I liked them before I go through that effort. I got them to work around the electric driver seat controls as shown in the video.
The rears were much easier. You do lose access to the seat belt buckle pockets in the rear original seats so you’ll have to fish them out after folding the seats back up. The straps on the rears run across the hard back surface. It will be left to be seen how they hold up over time after placing items on them.
    Overall OK for the price.

no offense intended, but you're in california. i know fabricators out there that literally leave stuff as bare metal because nothing rots. but for the rest country..

in the midwest, well, this was my last truck, and part of the reason i'm very happy to have a composite bed. keep in mind, the bed was fully primed and painted in the factory...

He’s in San Diego….near the ocean…..which is saltwater. Any untreated metal rusts quickly in that environment. I live on the coast also and my LCA’s need to wire brushed, treated, primed and painted already (under 3 years old).
With that said, I know you guys got it way worse than we do. They should make these things with carbon fiber frames.

Disagree but that’s also because I have a cap on order so the actual space is limited regardless.

I wouldn’t trust those spacers, look how much space you have left in the nut. I had some and I returned them due to safety concerns.

5 minutes or so. You just unroll it over the bed, attach the straps to the underside of the bed and put in the poles.

Nice, thank you. Sounds super easy. I have a softtopper and looking at maybe switching to a rtt or other ideas.

No. I disagree with the first part, they don’t belong in the Tacos.

    Not the OP.
I have had spacers installed for 5 years and have never had an issue. Note, I swap my wheels to a winter set each year and they are as tight as the day I installed them.

Recently purchased a 2016 TRD Off Road that came with a color matched camper shell. Sold the shell to a cool dude from Golden, CO that is planning on painting it with rhino liner.

I then installed my toolbox and after trying to figure out a patch solution, came across these sticky carpet panels at Walmart that work perfectly on the underside of my toolbox lid.

I'm going to install a 3.5" Rough Country lift and ditch lights on Saturday.

I too have a soft topper (just put it back on today) I generally only use it in the winter as my ice fishing gear wont fit under my tonneau cover.

Ive thought of getting a rtt, but the price is just hard to justify. I would have like $1500 into the rtt, then another $6-700 in a rack just to mount it to. With this tent, I am in for $150, my daughter old mattress, and some scrap wood.
Ideally I want to make a fully decked out camping/fishing setup, but something that can be daily driven without having a huge rack on the back.
