IMG_9957.jpg IMG_9855.jpg IMG_0266.jpg I leveled out the truck a few years ago by putting the 5100's at 1.75 in the front. Loved the look and ride. However, I'm doing a lot more hauling now and needed the rake back, the bed was sagging like crazy with any decent load. So I did an AAL in the rear. Now I have no idea what happened....

    Last 3 years:
Front: 5100's @ 1.75", stock TRD OR coils.
Rear: 5100's with 3rd gen leafs
Wheels: 16"x7.5" TRD rims w 265/70/16 grabber AT

Ride height center to fender was 22.25" front, 22.5" rear.

    New Mods:
    Front: No change
Rear: Headstrong progressive 3 leaf AAL + keep overload
Wheels: 17"x7" TRD pro rims w 265/70/17 Toyo AT

Ride height center to fender now 21.75" front, 24.75" rear.

Stumped as to how the front went down with larger tires. I'd expect maybe a slight drop because I brought the rear up, but not like this. Rear changed as expected with the AAL. Does this mean there must be an issue with the front suspension? The back end now sits really high, I was hoping to get back the factory rake. 3" is just ridiculous lol. Any advice appreciated! At least it doesn't sag I guess

It doesn’t have anything to do with the tires. Measuring from the hub eliminates the tires being a factory in the measurement. You lifted the rear which transferred weight forward and caused the front to sit lower.

Got it, yea I guess the wheel/tire size won't change the axel position.

Is there a way to calculate how much to lift the front to get a 1.5" factory rake? Assuming of course lifting the front will subsequently drop the back.

Seems odd that lifting the front 1.75" and rear 2"would result in the rake increasing by 1". Then again I'm no expert, obviously!
