Anti-theft on ignition casing?

    Can anyone tell me if there is an anti-theft sensor on the ignition casing of a 2000 taco?

    No. It's just mechanical in the ignition housing. I don't think they had the immobilizer in the 1st gens but I could be wrong. Maybe some of the later ones did. I could be wrong on what you are talking about too lol

    Someone was saying there was a magnetic sensor that had to be lined up with the cylinder or the car would not start

    Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
    No nothing special on the 2000 ignition switch.

    Unless if someone swapped in something needing a chipped key
