Is it possible to tune the ecu without the car ?

Hello,
I live abroad and I own a 2020 Tacoma 3.5 offroad AT and would like to get the OTT. I know it is possible to do it remotely, but I rather skip the hassle of buying the parts and doing it myself.
In a couple of months I plan to visit Florida.
I hope I'm not asking a stupid question.
Is it possible to install the OTT tune if I bring only the ECU with me to Florida?

If the person flashing the tune has the necessary wiring harness, then yes, they can.

The major downside to that is there could be an issue you won't know about until you get back home and plug everything back up.
