I bought some cali raised side projecting projecting pods, not too happy about the brightness but not bad for the price. Just not satisfied I guess. People that have the 2bangers, are they worth the money?

I'm assuming that you're referring to the A-pillar here for these lights? The 2Banger, especially in the HXB flavor are going to be a big improvement over a set of Cali Raised pods. The 2Bangers have tuned TIR style optics, and better LED chips/drivers behind them.

@memario1214 yes the a pillar. Are they a big enough improvement to justify the money for the upgrade?

The products are not remotely comparable. CaliRaised is just flipping you some cheap dated poorly designed and poor performing Chinese lights, while the Morimotos are a quality high performance lamp with advanced optics. With the A-pillar mount, the Morimotos with the wide optic will also have significantly reduced light spill on the hood, which helps you to maintain your night vision. I’d argue that the Morimoto wide optic is one of the best available for the A-pillar mount.

@crashnburn80 thanks for the advice, wish I’d known sooner before buying. I’ve seen a lot of good reviews on them so I figured.

Unfortunately many lighting reviews are by people that don't understand lighting and don't know what to look for, much less have tried 100s of lighting products to understand how it compares.

I've got a bunch of lighting threads with test driven data and there are lots of lighting enthusiasts in them willing to help for future purchases.

    Rock lights: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-led-rock-light-showdown.612253/

Any many more, but those are likely the relevant ones. Always good to ask in the lighting forum or one of the threads before purchase.

These look really impressive. Does anyone have pics of the daytime backlighting in action?
