Thought I would share any info if anyone had questions. 2018 Tacoma. I've only been driving with the tune for a week so I'm still learning myself. I got the medium setting tune and the ECT button has the high setting tune on it. So far I am enjoying it and moreover suprised how much better the fuel economy is. I'm getting 1-2mpg better on my routine trips and even up to 2-3mpg better on longer trips with flatter roads going around 40-60mph. I will be making a video soon too, I'll post it here when I'm done.

How’s the shifting? Amd says that the downshifting is what the factory settings thinks is most efficient. Are the mpg increases from the warmer weather? Is it hot and dry where you are located? I’ve noticed significant mpg increases in warm dry weather on the stock set up. Sorry for the questions I’ll be watching this thread.

Is that hand calculated or are you just reading it off the dash display because tune normally will throw off the dash display.

shifting has been great with the tune. some of my commutes there are big long hills. going up these hills with OEM tune the truck would downshift, speed up and then downshift and would do this SEVERAL times up one hill, completely infuriating. felt like you had absolutely no control. with the tune it downshifts and holds the gear until the hill is done and not only that but i can now hold a constant speed up the hill unlike the oem tune where if it downshifted, the tune made it so the car was forced to accelerate and if you put less pressure on the throttle during that acceleration it would immediately downshift and the annoying gear hunting would restart all over again because youre still on the hill. that last part was a little hard to explain but i hope you get it. with the tune, on more mellow hills i even have a little bit of throttle modulation when it downshifts, which was impossible on the oem tune. downshifting going downhill feels like it stayed relatively the same, i never thought the truck was annoying downshifting downhill even on the OEM tune, actually felt perfect to me and the roads i drive on. as far as MPG, i seem to get the best mpg at 80-50 degrees fahrenheit on the dryer side of humidity. I run 32-34 PSI in my KO2's depending on how much comfort i want and they are nearing their lifespan so they are lighter then they were new.
off my dashboard. probably not the most accurate at all, but i am extremely conscious of the gas needle and i've have been saving gas...not a ton but slightly enough for me to notice that i have some gas left over to do another drive. consider also that most of the time i drive my tacoma with Prius antics, im always easy on throttle, never in a hurry, and use coasting to the fullest advantage when i can.

couple more things to consider is I have LCE headers, which made a nice difference with gear hunting on hills. I dont carry a spare tire. i have an access cab which I assume weighs less then a double cab. and last i am by passing the AC pulley with a shorter serpentine belt because i deleted my AC. you can see i have a very lightweight tacoma which in most peoples case wont be ideal but is in mine. hope this helps.

Thanks for the feedback! Humidity is a mpg killer. That 2.7 likes the air DRY
