^^^ we usually do our big trip over labor day weekend, you'll see SOME changing leaves, not a whole "show", but we had some nights into the 30s on those trips.

Be ready for hunting season too, the campsite options might be a bit busier because of that.

Sep 22-24 if you're down for a hammer down weekend with a lot of drive time, we're looking to do a small 5-8 truck foliage tour, not as much time in the dirt/not actually entering the 'official' North Maine Woods either.

I tried to hide it in a spoiler and it didn’t work. If you zoomed in that’s on you!

Turkey's in the mist. From several years ago as that shed collapsed in a wind storm around 2016.

Got a new radio. Install was a little tricky. Doesn't use my steering wheel controls, but it was below budget

Phew. Panel wiring complete. I need to pull the winch solenoid and bracket, fit the panel, take some measurements, and then move the solenoid box to the panel. Then I still have to splice the headlight harness.

I'm going to use some of the hdpe offcuts to make strain relief/routing brackets on the backside and bevel the edges of the panel, but that's finishing touch type stuff.

I wonder what the actual owners will get? Complimentary airbags? I'd like a Tacoma mug or maybe a free oil change. ;)

Block island had a hotel fire. No power no water. Ferries cancelled, car ferries operating if you had appointment, and to ferry emergency crews on and off the island.

As it turned out Stoughton did have a EF-0 Tornado touch down. It came down my friend's street, but all he had was some branches from a neighbor's tree that fell into his yard. He lost power and of course his back up generator stopped running and he couldn't get it restarted.

Two miles away all I got was a ton of rain and some wind.

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
I was driving home from work this morning and saw some tools at a yard sale as I was passing by. Of course I had to turn around and I picked up a old made in PA USA Yost bench vise for $20. It's a beast, plus the thing is as smooth as butter!
