Refurbishing these little diecast cars is slowly becoming a hobby as well as collecting them so when I see loose cars, I always have to look and see what those ugly cars could be. Garage sales are great for this as they are usually dirt cheap.

I have a co worker working on some 3D printed replacement parts and now I have a few more projects for them!

I need to either learn how to print my own water slide decals or find someone who already does (recommendations welcome!)

 

Larry's Tow Truck
The body is in great shape... a fresh coat of paint and hopefully a 3D printed Tow Boom. Definitely one that needs the decals.

 

A Matchbox Tow Truck... also needs a Tow Boom, but right now I have no clue what it looks like. The paint and decals are actually in good condition.

1957 Chevy in dire need of a fresh paint job, new wheels and some window work... I think it'll be worth it in the end.

It's complete, paint and box look good. It could use new axles and wheels but may not be worth messing with right away.

Merryweather Fire Engine

This thing is in HORRIBLE shape, missing the ladder, the cab is bent in more than one place, the base is broken in more than one place and the side of the truck is pushed out.

Not likely worth rebuilding, but it was worth it to me to have an example of the Truck.

 

Found another one of these trucks, missing one of the turrets, clearly needs a fresh paint job and new decals, as well as wheel/axle swaps.

 

Found this, surprisingly intact, good paint, good decals and good wheels/axles.

 

Well, now I know what is missing from this one, but now I also know there's another color.

 

Lots of variations on this one.

 

Only about 57 more versions of this truck to find.
