anyone know the proper name for this rusty rattle trap ? It makes a terrible racket when the a/c compressor cycles on . engine probably squats in their mounts enough to cause the noise.
it looks like a pair of bolts were attached to a piece of metal at one time but it has since rusted away . bolts are in sad shape and look to be holding together some sort of donut gasket joint ?
no leaks just noise . would be ideal to free up the rusted bolts and replace the bracket that is isolated by the 2 rubber things .
maybe a McGiver fix rather than mess with those rusted bolts ?

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Maybe try just replacing the rubber hangers after years they get real hard and no longer have any give and just rattle.

If that gasket starts leaking or it is time for a new exhaust system it is easier to just cut off the bolts and replace.
