    Sigh…
    Morning walk done
    Coffee consumed
Even made an omelette for breakfast

    now what do I do?

can’t fish or hike on account of the rain. Or hammock. Or campfire.
Maybe I should go troll the fire camp up the road for bachelors?
    Probably should shower first though…

Yes, please. We who make contacts with the camping public appreciate when they take showers prior to the contacts.

While doing yard work, I caught a deer taking a swim. :p Actually, I snuck up on him and his pal and this one was apparently too scared to run. He eventually left. IMG_1171.jpg

Turn around, I don't want you to see me nekkid!!!

Rain came after I got all the fertilizer on the ground. When I left this morning there was about 3" in the rain bucket out back. *I* didn't even feel the earthquake, I was at the gym, standing in the rain, curling. My sneakers must have some really good support!!!

Last night, in the hardest rain, I ended up having to rescue the neighborhood and dig up a steel plate that had been left across a gutter. Jackholes put it in place 8/2-3, and just left it there. I'm still working to see who actually did the work, so I can properly "thank" them for the experience, and the sore back, arms, and shoulders. Luckily it was 75, because I was soaking wet when I got done.

OK, I had fun playing in the gutter, but they don't need to know that.

This far south there's 4 main corridors for the storms to pass. One just east of us, through us, through the Imperial Valley or around the mountains and into San Diego. San Diego didn't get much. Every thing else got it. Through us is the narrowest and it really picks up velocity.

I’m thinking they maybe got the day off. No way the fire is doing anything today with all the rain
