Folks: this locking back wheels has haunted me for a few years now. It commonly happens when pulling the boat up a ramp, outta the water. What a mess. 4 wheel low seems to make it worse and burning the clutch is a big problem. I've had to 'drag' the back wheels up onto the flat more than once with a smoking clutch. Commonly I can shut 'er down, restart and reverse to 'clunck' out of the situation. Sounds real bad on the equipment too.
Today, it happened while parked in my garage and I had no way to get the truck outta the garage. I read the post by one of you dated April 10th 2018 where I pressed hard on the brake pedal, pulled the E-brake and wow: it was solved. My local Toyota dealer claims they've never heard of this problem. (Bullshit) I'm taking it to a good garage and have them renovate the rear brakes. All of the parts. Who ever you were on April 10th 2018: I'm very grateful for your advise. Thank you. BTW, I have a 2021 Tacoma and the problem has never happened: Hopefully Toyota got their shit together.
