    My curiosity got me again, so I watched the installation video on youtube.

    The kit is more complex than your typical top hat spacer kit. It has a replacement shock collar that provides additional preload and a top hat spacer. I still think it's misleading to say it's not a spacer kit. I also don't think spacer kits are as terrible as you often read on here.

    Definitely a hot debate on TW. I wanted to fit 285’s. Did not want to replace Fox set up. Was not a lot of money. Westcott Designs has a great rep and history. Solved my need, call it what you want. Ride seems same, but it’s early. No noises and plenty of room.

    I would not expect any significant ride quality change regardless of brand in this case. The springs, shocks, control arms, etc are all the same. The only things changed are the spring preload and the extended length of the coil-over.

    My only minor concern would be that the shock might hit its fully compressed point before the LCA fully compressed the bump stop, but I’m willing to have faith that the manufacturer confirmed that to be a non-issue.
