Went to Total Wine on Sunday and was surprised at what they had in stock. A lot of things that have been hard to get were there in large numbers. Springbank, Kilkerran, Nikka From The Barrel, Nikka Taketsuru and more. It was very hard to restrain myself. I ended up with a Kilkerran and Springbank. Easily could have walked out with $400 + of whiskey if I didn't have some measure of self control.

 

i really like the Springbank 10 year! Only chance I get to buy one is when I’m at visiting the BIL in SoCal

 

you know wild turkey is a great option. though at one point in my very early 20's i put down a bottle of that with a friend on his birthday and we both worked the next morning. was a rough day.

 

I still have no idea what you are trying to accomplish in here? Resell? Trade?

 

Both. My goal is to get rid of them.

 

Anyone know much about the date codes on weller bottles?
Came across a 12 and when I looked closer it has another row of numbers across it.
I hear the twist off caps are harder to counterfeit but just wanna see what people that know more than me think.

 

One of the two bottles I have look like that, wouldn’t worry about it. I know mine are real lol

I’ve only ever seen them for retail (very very rarely) or secondary plus.

Are those pictures of two different bottles? One has the two codes overlapped, the only has one code.

Generally speaking, the codes starting with an L have the year of bottling in the two digits after the L.

I have one bottle with the same type of code as in the second picture, and one with that code and another one that’s all numbers on a different part of the bottle. I can’t find any info on that second type of code.

 

It’s the same bottle. The shorter code that’s only one line on top of the 1st row is hard to get a picture of. You can only see it from certain angles.
The code that’s 2 lines looks correct to me, just wasn’t sure about the other on on top.
