westcott is a good company and they finally released a version of the collar lift for the sport. Problem is, the stock hitachis. They are garbage

Go with the Billy’s. Have (pay), the vendor to setup the spring/coil.

It states you get a 3 inch lift without new UCAs..... How does that work?

the lift is achieved by putting more tension on the spring. The use of uca’s doesn’t affect the lift height. The problem of going that high without uca’s is an unfavorable alignment. You lose caster when lifting the truck and the stock suspension isn’t designed to get enough caster once lifted.

Lift height wont guarantee tire fitment, so don't bank on fitting 285/70/17 tires without issues. If you really get 3" of lift with this, I would have a lot of questions in regards to shock position at ride height compared to the overall shock travel. Better than a top hat spacer lift, but only expect added lift for looks only.

Detailed tech article on this subject coming soon!

Its basically a spacer lift, Makes sense for the OEM Fox 2.5. But for the price its not worth it for the stock shocks on our trucks. I wouldn't buy into not needing UCA's after their 3" lift either. Caster numbers will be very low and the vehicle will wander around.

So I've been hearing a lot people talking about adding this lift to their TRD Pro's... But how exactly does that work with the Fox internal bypass shocks? According to Toyota, the Tacoma's have 8 bypass zones in the front and and 11 in the rear. That's about 1 zone per inch of travel. Westcott advertises 1.5" lift in the front and 1" in the rear. Wouldn't these lifts put the ride height out of the "Ride Zone" that the shocks have been designed for then?

I'd be curious to hear if anyone knows the specifics of how this affects how the shocks perform.

Your thinking is correct. I wish I had specs on their IBP to help confirm.
