I am having a great deal of trouble sourcing connecting rods for a 1GRFE, 4L motor out of a 2012 Tacoma, Toyota says that the existing rids should have a letter A,B,or C stamped on them mine have W1 stamped on them, any assistance on this issue would be greatly appreciated

The W1 is the front mark.
It indicates what way the rod and piston mark goes on when assembled.
The only reference to A,B,C are for the bushings.
But I only read over the inspection data briefly.

    Torspd will likely know.

Good to know there are some other options out there for cheaper. I got the LCE rods for my 2TR and they were made by Pauter. I remember mine being painfully expensive as well.

I was wondering what you were running. Ouch, that is expensive for sure. Not something you want to give up on you though, so worth the money in your case

The Pauter rods were designed off of the #2 stamped OEM rod. Waaaaay back when. I think the Molnar rods were as well. I sent both companies a rod each. Regardless, bearing to crank journal clearances must still be checked.

The Brian Crower rods are offered with two choices of rod bolt fasteners. Strong, and super strong.

Not sure if Pauter, or Molnar offer the Aged 625 series fasteners.
