Reverse noise

Driveshaft angle is changed when the truck is lifted, possible it’s due to the lift.

FWIW Im lifted 2” and had to install 4 degree shim at rear axle to get rid of minor vibrations at certain speeds.

sounds like something related to the driveshaft

 

Did you just notice the noise or it’s always been there?

 

It just started making that noise. About a week now :/

 

Hmm, how are your u-joints?

I'll have my son drive it in reverse while I lay under it.
Hope he doesn't crank the wheel...
No more allowance for him if he runs me over.

 

Couldn't get to this, had to put down my dog unexpectedly. My heart is broke. I will update in a week when I get back from a trip.

 

Mines making this exact same noise. I'll notice after it's been up on my 2 post lift it will go away for a few days. What did you figure out? It's driving me nuts

 

Just started in my 2018. It has been lifted for 2 years 30k (Dobinson hd leafpack).

 

Well I got off easy...the noise was coming from the gas tank heat shield rubbing on the drive shaft. Sounded EXACTLY like the OP's videos.
