New 2023 Tacoma TRD PRO with MT. In Neutral, 4Lo, Engage A-Trac, Engage 1st gear, Release clutch with no gas, Truck moves (as expected), HOWEVER no indicator on dash indicates A-Trac is engaged. My guess is faulty indicator or A-Trac is non functional. Anyone have similar experience?

Is your switch latching? Mine (2016) indicates in the top corner of the center display screen, no traditional dash indicator light. Look there.

Yep, top row of the center display, by the cruise icon I think. Mines an 18 and not near me to verify right now.

Head to some mud/snow or a place that lifts a wheel off the ground and it will be obvious if a-TRAC is engaged. It makes a lot of noise.

I don’t think I’ve ever paid attention to the indicator lights as I never turn a-TRAC off.

Problem wasn’t a problem. The drivetrain must be synced in 4Hi before 4Lo, otherwise the computer and gears won’t mesh (so the Toyota tech informed me). Failure to sync will cause the chip to prevent going into 4Lo. I tried it and it works perfectly. Never had this problem with auto trans 4Runner or FJ. Live and learn. Thanks.
