Hello, i have a 2014 tacoma and like the title said. my passenger side brake light is not working. the turn signal is working fine and the driver side is working normally.

What could be the problem and how to fix it?

    Thank you in advance

    Yeah.
Do you have the LED brake lights (the circle of red LEDs)? If so, you likely need a new assembly (~$83 on RockAuto for TYC brand). If not the LED brake lights, you just need to replace the bulb.

Yes, i have the circle of red lights, sorry i left that detail out. I thought it was a bulb and went to swap it out saw it has no bulb .

will get another taillight and see.

Before you do that, a simple test light will tell you if you have power and ground. A quick check of fuses would be in order too.

Both the right and left stop lights get power from the same fuse.
If one side works, the fuse is good.

A definitive test would be to pull the light.
    Test the power and ground.
    Power is Blue wire.
    Ground is White/Black.

If you have power and ground at the connector. The taillight is bad, or you have poor pin fitment. Check the terminals for corrosion. If all looks good, it’s safe to assume the light is bad.
Obviously, you’ll need to have the brake pedal pressed to test this.

If the connectors are exactly the, this is a simple free test. Buying a new tail light assembly and oops, that didn’t fix it costs money.
