-Truck was recently hit by some foolish driver who blew an intersection. Moderate damage at driver corner. Damage isolated to bumper, quarter panel, grill, LCA/UCA, CV joint, tire rod (no damage at all to hood, frame, driver door, coil-over/wheel/tire fine also). Being fully repaired by local body shop paid for by responsible partie's insurance... Repair should be complete in July. Photos below of damage for full disclosure.

Selling bc I bought a new 4Runner... So bittersweet, but have kid and own restaurant now. Air-conditioned rear storage is a huge plus.

Well, shop called and they finally got all the parts in and started putting her back together. BUT when they tried to drive it up on the rack they found a “nickel sized hole in the motor, likely from a steering rack bolt or something else”……. Don’t know what to say. Hard to believe this wreck could total my truck, but sounds like she got a mortal wound. Now just hoping insurance doesn’t try to lowball total value….

 

A sad story. Well-built aftermarket front bumper replacements are as much about defense against urban/suburban traffic as they are about boucing deer, elk, cattle, etc.

 

She’s gone to pasture, Allstate gave me 22500 for it and let me rip out the custom stereo I put in and the Leer cap. Could have been worse. I’ll miss it
