I am going to have to see what the fuss is about the ENO hammocks. might be nice to take another one if I have a newby coming along instead of carrying a tent.

I'm back from WV! Definitely an awesome trip! Two must own things for a truck camping trip- Crazy Creek style seat to lounge on the tailgate with and a good camp stove. Basking in the sun while I cooked by the river was heaven! Waking up to a car next to me with two people inside doing meth while their kids were in booster seats in the back- horrifying!

Of course I didn't start taking pics till the last day, but:

    2011-3-21%20011_1f4deb28dddb2a80af671576f5f0f37aff01842a.jpg

    2011-3-21%20002_20a8fa802e05b59cfd23b6230b7588cbe2ff4b07.jpg

and the pic of the trip:

    2011-3-21%20009_47f9d85377c02ddb92c5d479b8b0b150d03f144b.jpg

    Notice the opening time

I'm now on my 3rd $12 Walmart air-mattress (lost the valve, then popped the other) but its still cheaper then the more expensive alternatives, and i would be in the hole right now if I had popped an expensive truck mattress. Being able to blow up the bed and just toss it on top of whatever is in the back to pass out is awesome and way more efficient then going with a platform for moving boats and gear.

Thanks for the comments, that is why I have the truck right there.

Yeah get the Yakima track system. Remove the cap for install then drill and bolt in the tracks, seal with silicone and install your racks. Seen it done in less than an hour if you climb on top of the camper top.

There is a guy on ebay that undercuts everyone else by 20-30% that is worth looking for.

I pieced mine together from ebay.

The only thing I bought new was the thule 60" tracks. I couldn't find them on ebay or craigslist used. So I picked them up off Amazon for $109 shipped. Then I trimmed them down to fit.

I bought Thule 58" bars, Tracker II feet with TK1 fitkit, 60" thule tracks, and some Thule Kayak saddles.

I think I spent $350 total on everything. It's used stuff so it's a little faded and had some scratches, etc. But it's gonna get scratched anyways.

I bought a Yakima track system off a guy on Cragislist for $200.

It came with the 60" tracks, feet, crossbars, and 2 bike carriers (I forget the name of them right now). When I get a free weekend, I am going to install them on my Undercover Tonneau.

I also grabbed a Yakima Load Warrior from REI in the returns section for $139. It's was brand new, except it was missing the fairing -- which is fine since I was going to take that off when I mount it, anyway.

I love my Yakima roof rack. Thule tends to be a bit more expensive but I like how many different options they have. SOME of the rack attachments will work with a yakima rack or vise versa.
I was able to snag my yakima rack with 3 raptor mounts for the bikes for $175 on C.L. touched up the round bars and cleaned the mounts and it looked brand new. Had to buy the landing pads separately but that was no big deal.

This was just for 4 people- my SIL, BIL, wife and myself.

I remember the good old days when it was just me and I slept in a sleeping bag on top of a tarp.......

That's not camping if you fill a Flex like that.
