    Just keep it.

I had the same debate before buying my ‘22 Tacoma and ended up keeping my ‘04 and I still drive it all the time. It’s cheap to own and more fun to drive. I did end up financing a little more on the new truck but the rate was good through Toyota.

This is of course if you can swing it financially, but you can aways make the decision after you have your new truck. You’ll never have an issue selling your first gen!

The first girlfriend (or boyfriend) will always have a special place in our memories but there is a reason we parted ways. If you're tired of your Taco, someone will fall in love with it. Sounds like you need to set it free.

Seriously though, as mentioned, that monthly payment gets really old when you start thinking about where those funds could go. Add that to what is known vs. new and unknown, even with a certified there will be new issues you'll have to learn about. No one can convince you, you already know the answer.

I’m not in the least bit tired of it. I love that truck, but family is growing along with lacking some modern touches which would be nice

Sell the truck so many are looking!

You just needed to hear what a foolish thing you were thinking of doing.

Crazy, geriatric Fuks! I have more rings than a bristlecone.

Not completely sure why but a Prius is probably the only car I wouldn't want to be seen in. Hell, I'd mob a rusted Yugo around town and push it up a hill before that sighting ever happened.

Seriously OP, do whatever you want. I'm in the market for another project so, hit me up yo!

The new Tundra in limited trim or SR5 are between 52-62k. Last i was looking at GM prices, they were in high 50s and over 60k.

problem is that I want a V6 hybrid for the fuel economy. Which only comes on like nicest three packages.

The v6 hybrid vs non hybrid fuel economy is negligible. Real world numbers speak for themselves. The hybrid system really only bolsters power

Of course we don’t get real world numbers. Just what they want us to hear….

I've been in the same boat for years. Bottom line I sleep better at night investing money instead of buying things that deprecate. My 98 3.4 has 230k on it. Instead of a new vehicle I just did valve cover gaskets, power steering rack, LBJs, 1 tie rod, new suspension front and rear and best money spent was on corbeau bucket seats to replace the horrendous factory 60/40 seats.

problem there is that my ext could but doesn’t hold a family real well. I think I’ll just keep it and use it to beat around town in.
