I'd had them before but then completely forgot about them. Then found out a double was 15 and a single 10$ at Walmart. I'm sure it'll only last a season or two but that's enough. Sandwiches forever next year.

We spent Sunday night up in the woods, looking at the stars, we thought we spotted the big dipper shortly after sunsun set, but my wife reminded me that we were not Geologists, so instead we just look at the fire.

We did see this while gathering wood for the fire.

I have since discovered the North Star is part of the little dipper. I downloaded an app that will be able to tell us what we are looking at next time.

A moose is cool and all but have you ever seen a rock in the shape of a fan?

    So, confession time y'all

This year, NMW offices are now on satellite internet. Long of the short....They take credit cards at the gates.

For us to have all gone to the gate would have been bananas, AND we only learned this when we went up scouting 2-3 weeks ahead of the trip, so by that point the "cash or check only" message was already very well dispersed. We asked her, she said each person would have to be there to sign, rather than us being able to go up and drop a stack of forms on them and leave. If we're looking at a ~6 head group, absolutely would be willing to do that. But with 13....we had to herd the cats

    :sorry:

BUT for anyone who wants to set up their own trips in the future, or go up and do whatever, I wanted you to know that while we were there it was an option.

Disclaimer: Who knows what/if it will change for next year and thereafter, AND ... signal is less than reliable. Heck, electricity is less than reliable. So be ready w/ check and/or cash as a backup if you plan to use your card at the gate.

I've had them with jam before, these hit the spot with some pie filling this trip.

Got a double the other day, might also go get a single just to have it, it's cheap enough.... you can fill it with whatever. Now that I've looked, you can do a calzone-style with sauce, cheese, pepperoni. You can do it with fluff and chocolate and do a "smores" version.

:spy: I have ideas brewing for cinnamon rolls, too......

The secret to the apple pie filling is add a marshmallow to the center. Started doing that when a good friend of ours had pregnancy cravings while camping and tried it. That kid is now 19yrs old....

Question, what did you run for tires? There were some recommendations early in the thread about C, E and even SL. I’m currently sitting at 5K on some C Duratracs RT and heading up later this month. Would like your feedback & input if I should upgrade to a set of Es. I will have stock spare and have a brand new 5th matching TRD rim to mount as well. Thanks in advance!

C's and up survived A okay.

SLs (4 ply) - were "okay" but mine were pretty bald so that didn't help matters.

You should be okay on Cs. We aired down to about 20.
