Replaced all 4 shocks on my 2008 4wd trd tacoma, now front end sits higher

    any thoughts on why the front end sits higer after replacing all 4 shocks, also replaced both front sway bar links, it looks like the length of the front shock i bought are the correct length.

    I think maybe he means to say they are sitting higher [than the rear] which would be over 2" of settling.

    Did you replace the front coils also or did you have your old coils installed on the new shocks? I guess I should be asking what did you replace your old shocks with? Kind of need a little more info to help you out. Btw, welcome to TacomaWorld!

    Some people install the spring perch upside down creating a massive lift by accident.

    We will need photos of the assembled front shocks.

    How are you determining that it is sitting higher? Did you measure it? Also, have you driven it around yet? After letting my truck off the jack it sits higher until I drive it around. My guess or that the suspension bushings have enough friction in them to cause a temporary change in ride height.

    Normally new coils will compress after a while.
