Does anyone know of any reputable shops where I can take my Tacoma for maintenance?

 

What do you need done? The Truck Shop in Sayville seems to have good reviews.

My garage is out of commission for the next few months so I’m looking for a shop that I can trust to do maintenance work. I will check them out . Also yes Tacos & tacos sounds good

my rant, in short: riverhead toyota sucks
those kooks wanted to keep the vehicle for a weeks time, with no loaner available, to perform the crc spray campaign

called another toyota dealership that is much closer to home, they said bring the car in anytime and it would be done from one day to the next...


having known the owner of riverhead toyota who has been a local neighbor for many years, it was always worth going out of the way and passing multiple toyota dealerships in favor of riverhead
however my days of driving 45 minutes each way are over...

the service department at riverhead toyota has severely fallen off...

 

Are there any good dealers on LI? I drove to Scranton to get my taco.

 

i believe half the battle in finding a trustworthy dealer, is in knowing someone who works there personally

years back, riverhead had a group of toyota enthusiast employees working in their service department.. sadly all those people have left the dealership

 

Not much better at Empire (they suck and I bought two trucks from them in a week) and Sunrise Toyota is full of morons.

 

Empire is the worst! I haven’t bought anything from them but their Ford dealer are a bunch of numb nuts and tried to steal my Bronco reservation. I’m happy I got a taco instead of that POS.

 

Smithtown toyota wasn't too bad, the sales and finance guy I worked with were great. Their service dept is a nightmare though.

 

So I guess we all agree there are no good Toyota dealers on LI..lol

 

Incidentally, Smithtown is where I've been taking my Taco (I bought mine from Laurel Toyota in Western PA lol). They haven't been terrible to me for simple oil changes.

 

I purchased at Smithtown, go there for (free) service and wait while it's being done. Great service dept from my experiences.

Tempted to try Sunrise Toyota as I live like 2 miles from it. Knock on wood hopefully don't need to go though!

 

Sunrise can suck a...well, use your imagination. From them still selling with ridiculous dealer markups to their service department who I had to argue with to do a TSB; I am really not too fond of them lol.
