Hello, I have a question on an issue that my SR5, 2023 Tacoma truck is having, and the dealership is saying it's a normal Issue. My truck after driving it or it's warmed up is jerking forward or in reverse while I'm on a stop light or sometimes in the reverse stage. Sometimes it ramps up the RPM just a bit when I'm driving. I get no alert issues on my dash, but concerns are growing it could be a Transmission issue not seating in gear. Can anyone share some insight as to why my radio speakers are not fading normally to the rear and the volume is at a low tone. when I move the cursor to the front just one notch at the second level on the screen from the back it sounds out in the louder tone to the front speakers not the back. So, my dealership is saying on their findings that whenever my AC compressor turns on it will jerk my truck. and as the radio there is nothing wrong with. How do u like those diagnostics from a dealership.

If you look around on here you will see that the rear speaker issue has been well documented and happens pretty much across the board on these OEM sound systems, so that one I will give them. That said, it seems that at a significant number of dealers, anything a truck does that could result in warranty work is "normal".

If possible, could you go into more detail? You are at a stop light with your foot on the brake, the engine is warm, and the vehicle just jerks forward? Or does it jerk forward once you lift off the brake and transition to the gas pedal one the light turns? I need more detail to try to help with the issue.

Idle up is normal with the AC engaged. I am currently troubleshooting an '81 GMC C3500 that doesn't do this so be thankful yours does it. A compressor engaging can stall my 7.4L big block which is why your ECU (or relay in my GMC's case) ramps up idle. You will also hear the Taco idle up at seemingly random times when running that makes it sound like a diesel engine. This is a normal thing and is the cleaning cycle (see this thread).

i noticed a little bump too when the a/c compressor engages. especially if i'm light on the brakes at a stoplight.

The RPM will occasionally kick up to help with power for the AC. You'll notice this with the truck in park especially. I can't say my truck has jerked forward, but being slightly harder on the brakes will help. It won't take long to get used to. Just part of getting used to a new vehicle.
