Aloha. I’m on Maui and my brain is fried from days and days of helping out with this fire…organizing, shopping, distributing, loading, unloading, countless calls and texts and emails and Venmo and PayPal and Zelle and and and. We’re currently running supplies into the outlying areas where they are perhaps more concerned with leaving their homes due to looting.

This is something I’ve researched previously but I don’t have the energy to go back and figure out what I need. Can you guys and gals recommend a quiet, reliable, high quality inverter that I can hard wire and install under my passenger seat? I’d like to have it switched to ignition, is that possible or so I need to do it manually? If manual, can someone draw me a stupid person diagram and remind me which switch company has the dash light color nailed better? I used to do car audio for a living, but my brain literally doesn’t work right now and I also don’t really have hours to set aside for this research.

Need 2x 120v plugs and a fast charging USB. Want to get a couple more accessories up on my dash mounts (usb c to power the Garmin InReachMini 2 and 120v to power a camera battery charger, plus an extra plug for whatever comes up). Not sure if it’s easier to power the usb c via a 120v plug, or?

I’ve probably got some 4 gauge power and ground running around here. Not sure if it’s enough.

    Thanks for the assist all.

    Lyle

biggest thing is running watts of what you intend to run off it. what's the largest thing you plan to plug in?

Hey, I don't think I'd ever run more than a few hundred watts through it.

May take that back, I wouldn't object to sometimes hooking up a milwaukee charger or my laptop. Looks like they're 300 watts.
