chevy engine?

is there any way to install a chevy small block engine into a 91 tacoma ?

 

If your good at fabrication it is possible, but a lot of work.

 

It would be difficult to swap any engine into a Tacoma that existed 4 years before the Tacoma.....

 

yeah a 91 isnt a "tacoma" but its the same thing really. and thanks. i usually work on chevys and have a couple extra engines sitting around. me and my friends have worked on his 04 tacoma and i like how they are easy to work on.. this is my first tacoma i bout in great condition and my chevys have more horse so i thoguht about swappign the engines

 

Wouldnt be too bad especially since you have the steering box in the front so you should be able to find headers to clear off the shelf, will be easier that doing it into a Tacoma..

I just did an LS1 into a 98 Tacoma, was a pain because the steering shaft and the exhaust need to be in about the same place so I had to custom make a set of headers..

Well worth it in the end, it is pretty much done, just need to get the gauges to work and I am golden, I have working AC (ice cold) and power steering just like stock and I am even going to make the stock Toyota gauges work as well, just need to find a place for the Toyota temp sender and get a Dakota digital signal modifier to adapt the Chevy signal from the T56 trans to my Toyota speedo.

Wont be anything to give away whats under the hood except the sound of the V8...
