The ABS and the Traction Control light have randomly turned on and then when I shut the truck off and start it again the lights are off. However today while driving I went to stop and the ABS kicked in and acted like I was sliding on ice and started pulsing. Wonder if any of you have experienced this at all or have any idea what would cause this. Thanks in advance. I have a 12 TRD Off Road with 180,000 miles.

You need to get it scanned. Abs is self diagnosing so it will clear if it thinks it’s fixed, but it sounds like you have a failing sensor or connection issue.

Scan it before it causes issues with stopping.

normal scanners aren’t enough, you need an abs scan tool

Still uses the OBDII port? Is there a decent budget friendly one available for we mostly DIYrs?
