Is is possible to get 4 inches or more in the front? I really like the truck but I've got to get it as low as I want.

This is about 3.5" I'm running RS-R springs made for the FJ Cruiser. Got them from Blackhawk Japan. I've got a fabricator cutting down a spare set of spindles so I can go a little lower with a spacer on the lbj mount. Should be sitting are 4.25" lower on suspension after that. I'll be dropping another inch from tires soon too. On the rear I went the way of welding on my own perches for sua conversion.

I'd like an inch gap with a nice 18 inch tire front/rear. If your fabricator is welding on that spindle I'd be a little concerned on that one. I'm looking at A-arms,can the spring picket be lowered 2 inches?

Why? These wouldn't be the first set of Tacoma spindles to be welded on. These aren't your typical cast iron jobs. There have been several members here who have had their spindles chopped and welded in the same manner as I'm having done. Either way, this is as low as I would recommend going up front without spacing the lbj, at ride height I have approx an inch before I hit bump stops. And with stock height tires the do rub in several points of the inner fenders when taking curves aggressively.

The SOS kit that people typically run relocates the lower spring perch to reuse the stock springs for the 2" drop up front. I wouldn't recommend that with lowering springs though because you'll be bottoming out the strut piston.

There is a site that sells drop struts for 4wd/prerunner trucks. I've never seen a set in person to speak for their quality.
