Stonewall Jackson ran the valley here. it was the breadbasket of the southern armys. his campain was flawless. then he was shot at Battle of the Wilderness and died days later.

Not too far away from me..
it all looks delicious, but those 'maters got me hungry!

Harpers Ferry! Not too far from me, either! I've been wanting to get back there this summer, hasn't happened yet.

I like the look of that bigger cooker.

I keep saying I need to finish my smoker...probably this winter. I don't have too much left to to do but I am kinda between 1 of 2 different fire boxes. I've got an old cast iron door and frame I was wanting to use but I've got a piece of either 6" or 8" x about 1/4" pipe that would take forever to burn out. It would actually be easier to use and set up than the fire box I have on the bench.

That thing looks pretty familiar. Looks like a smaller version of what the miloyaty ships engines (and I'm sure other things) in...at least the shape of it is very similar.

Expected to be 99 degrees today here in Jawga. I need to get a few things done before it gets too hot and then just work on putting a rear end in a recliner. :D

    Enjoy your day. Stay safe.

Mark built the big one years ago. its on an axle to pull it places, got fire doors on both ends.doesnt hold heat like thicker metal but gets the job done, keeps a side fire going and throws the coals in as needed.
