Hey guys, I just bought a new 2023 Tacoma. I’m looking at getting a 6in lift. I realize that for that, the frame would have to be cut. Will this devalue my truck? or worse. Would it total my truck? Forgive me if this was already discussed.

It's your truck... so do with it what you want. But please, do realize:

    1. You could be voiding your warranty. At the least, you may need to be on the defense to prove your mods didn't cause the problem.
    2. In my opinion, you will be devaluing your truck. Your modifications shrink the pool of buyers. If what you do can be undone without a trace, you can always revert.
    3. Cutting the frame?? Will your mods allow your truck to pass any state inspections?
    4. You're gonna take a beating on gas mileage.

There are people waiting months, maybe years, for a truck. Yours is brand new. Why do you feel the need to mod it irreversibly?

Not irreversible, just a giant pain in the ass and expensive. :fistbump:

I would go ahead and cut the frame, put the 6" lift on it, and get some bitchin' 35's.

Only boomers and fuds don't recognize the beauty and value of that setup.

    YOLO!
